Spacious Chimanimani Accommodation with Private Loft

Set among the trees just a short walk from the main lodge, Cottage One offers privacy, comfort, and scenic views of the Chimanimani mountain range. It is a practical, spacious choice for couples or families looking for an independent stay.

The cottage is fully self-catering and features an en-suite bathroom alongside a functional kitchen. Above the main living area, a cozy loft bed provides a great separate space for up to two children, a teenager, or an adult.
To keep our footprint light, hot water is supplied by a solar-powered geyser, with an electrical backup to ensure hot showers regardless of the weather.

The unit is equipped with a private kitchenette for simple meal preparation and includes an en-suite bathroom with a shower. To ensure a lighter environmental footprint, hot water throughout the cottage is supplied by a reliable solar-powered geyser.

If you are looking for simple, comfortable, and affordable accommodation, our private rooms offer excellent value. These are straightforward, functional spaces designed to give you a good night's rest after a day of exploring.

All rooms are located just a short walk from our shared ablution facilities. They can be booked as private singles/doubles, or configured to share with members of your travel group. We offer a few different layouts depending on your needs. When booking, feel free to ask us about Room 3, Room 4, The Gatehouse, or The Chalet to find the right fit for your stay.

Amenities: Private entry, comfortable bedding, and quick access to shared hot-water ablutions.
Setup: Available for solo travelers, couples, or small groups.

LODGE DORMITORY

Communal, budget-friendly group lodging with mountain views.

A communal space that has always maintained a welcoming, friendly atmosphere.

Located upstairs inside the main lodge building, our spacious dormitory sleeps up to 12 people. The room features an open layout thoughtfully arranged to offer guests a sense of privacy and personal space whilst enjoying views looking directly out toward the mountains.

This space is ideal for larger groups, backpackers, or budget-conscious travelers who want a comfortable mattress and an economical rate. Please note that the shared toilets and hot showers are located just down the stairs and outside.

Because our grounds are so expansive, we almost always have room for you to pitch a tent, so walk-ins are welcome. However, if you are travelling with a large group, please let us know in advance so we can set aside the best possible space for you.

4x4 vehicles and overland trucks have been a central part of the lodge's history from the beginning. Our expansive grounds are designed specifically with self-drive travelers in mind, offering plenty of space for large rigs, convoy groups, or solo travelers looking for a quiet night's sleep.

Every campsite is positioned within 40 meters of a shared ablution block. Some pitches offer clear views of the mountains, while others are tucked into private, wooded areas surrounded by trees and local birdlife.

Potable drinking water tap points, fire pits, and braai (BBQ) facilities are located nearby throughout the camping areas.

Our property features a versatile mix of lodging types, including expansive camping grounds, a 12-bed dormitory, standard budget rooms, and private self-catering cottages.

To support larger numbers, we provide reliable hot water, comfortable bedding, and communal kitchen facilities. We can handle the catering for your group, or you can hire our kitchen space to manage your own meals. Every group has distinct requirements, and we are happy to tailor the setup to suit your specific itinerary.

The lodge serves as an ideal base for exploring the natural and cultural highlights of the Chimanimani area:

Nature & Hiking: Easy access to Bridal Veil Falls, Tessa’s Pools, Pork Pie Hill, and local birdwatching trails.
